It is with sadness we can announce that unfortunately Tom Thomson Snr. sadly passed away last weekend. He was a keen member and shooter at the club, and will be especially missed with the regular Friday shooters. In his younger days he was a member of 42 Royal Marine Commando and shot for the Marines at Bisley in 1974. Some of the medals he won are pictured below.

His funeral is at 1:30pm on the 24th of June at Holmsford Bridge Crematorium at Dreghorm. There will be a funeral tea afterwards at the Brae, 26 Townfoot, Dreghorn.
Competition stickers have now been printed and in the black folding file on the sign in table. The rules are on the noticeboard, and also in the competition page on here. Results will be in the Member’s section once a few cards have been completed. We are also running handicap competitions in selected disciplines where will calculate the rankings on the scores compared to your average last year. This will mean that the most improved shooter will get a medal also.
You may notice that we have purchased our own defibrillator for the club, in case we ever need one and we can’t get a rapid response from the emergency services. This is there for a specific purpose, please do not interfere with it in case it is needed one day. If any members would like training or guidance in how to use the machine then please register their interest with a member of the committee in the first instance.
Ammunition; CCI Standard, Eley Sport, Eley Club and Eley Match is now back in stock in good supply. We also have a good supply of small primers, shotgun primers and powder. A price list is in the members section.
There are now 3 signing in folders on the table that are used for different people coming to the club. The red one is for DRPC members and should be filled in every time you visit. The blue one is a record of the probationers training attendance and the black one is for use by guests on the 12 recognised guest days. Please ensure that you use the correct folder when signing in.
Just to remind all members that shooting airguns and ANY other type of firearm at the same time is NOT allowed on the range. Air weapons require the use of a metal pellet catcher which is a ricochet hazard for firearms and could potentially cause injuries.
Please make sure that the range checks are completed and the range book is filled out before shooting. Any incidents or accidents, however minor should be recorded in the incident book.
